Artist Statement
I sit at a ittered table and piece together fragments of the world around me. Using pages from discarded books, I try to capture fleeting moments with a knife and glue. My focus is on the human form and all of its subtle gestures and innate behaviors. My exploration of the figure most often involves a live model, and is done in an intuative and impulsive manner. Once the glue has dried I hope to find a depiction of the frailty and fluidity of the human condition. As well as a floor full of scraps.
